Welcome, and thanks for tuning in. On August 1, you can grab the new 14-track album from allenwatkinsband.hearnow.com or stream it on Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music—basically anywhere you enjoy your music. Recorded at 101 Crossroads Sound Studios in Elgin Crossroads, Alabama, it was produced by Allen Watkins and mixed and mastered by Vance Henry. All songs were written by Allen and Connie Watkins, except one special track penned by their friend James Polhemus. The album features Allen on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and vocals; Connie on vocals, guitar, and mandolin; Joe Parker on bass; and Garrett Smith on fiddle and mandolin, with guest appearances from Dan Watkins, Jon Davis, John Henderson, Tony Robertson, Vance Henry, and Lisa Williams. Dedicated to Floyd Watkins, a self-taught musician whose guitar and mandolin playing spanned nearly 84 years, this project celebrates his love for music—a legacy carried on by his sons and grandsons. We hope it brings joy to your home, just as music always has to ours.
