Recorded at 101 Crossroads Sound Studios in Elgin Crossroads, Alabama, this 14-track album it was produced by Allen Watkins and mixed and mastered by Vance Henry. All songs were written by Allen and Connie Watkins, except one special track penned by their friend James Polhemus. The album features Allen on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and vocals; Connie on vocals, guitar, and mandolin; Joe Parker on bass; and Garrett Smith on fiddle and mandolin, with guest appearances from Dan Watkins, Jon Davis, John Henderson, Tony Robertson, Vance Henry, and Lisa Williams. Dedicated to Floyd Watkins, a self-taught musician whose guitar and mandolin playing spanned nearly 84 years, this project celebrates his love for music—a legacy carried on by his sons and grandsons. It includes eight original tracks, 7 of which were written by Allen and Connie Watkins. One track, "The Journey from Donegal", was written by Bob Hall. The album is performed by Allen Watkins, Connie Watkins, and Bob Hall. Recorded and mixed in Bob Hall’s studio, this is where the music first came to life.

The music on this CD was composed by Connie Nicholas (Watkins) and reflects a folk style reminiscent of her early home in North Dakota and the journey of life from there. A studio ensemble of many friends came together to bring the project to life. It was recorded at Tangled String Studios in Huntsville, AL, with engineering by Ben Davis. Musicians include Allen Watkins on mandolin, Dan Charles on fiddle, Bob Hall on double bass, Charelle Hudgins on harmony vocals, Ron Brown on harmonica, and Travis Widener on guitar and harmony vocals.
